A person who died Friday after being struck by falling scaffolding amid a windstorm in Toronto was not a employee, police say.

Police have been referred to as to the scene close to the nook of Yonge and School streets round 5:45 p.m. for what was believed to be an industrial accident. They initially mentioned no emergency companies have been referred to as and that the person might have been taken to a hospital by colleagues.

The Ministry of Labour had been referred to as in. However on Saturday, police tweeted an investigation revealed the person was in reality a citizen who was in a laneway on the time of the incident.

Officers have been throughout the road on the time of the incident and responded instantly, police mentioned Saturday.

The sufferer’s identify has not been launched. It is unclear whether or not the incident was associated to the highly effective winds that hit the Toronto space Friday night.
