Provincial police investigating fatal vehicle fire near Orangeville

    Provincial police say they’re investigating a vehicle fire that left one man dead in a city near Orangeville.

    Ontario Provincial Police say the fire occurred in Mono, Ont., on Thursday afternoon. The agricultural city is round 13 kilometres northeast of Orangeville.

    Const. Paul Nancekivell says a driver handed the vehicle on fire at about 2:30 p.m., in an space near the 25th Sideroad and Hurontario Road, and known as emergency providers.

    He says the identification of the deceased has not but been confirmed.

    Nancekivell says the reason for the fire has not been decided.

    Members of the OPP Forensic Identification Companies Unit and the Workplace of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Administration are helping within the investigation.

    Police are asking anybody with data to come back ahead.
