Ryder Wright earns back-to-back Calgary Stampede saddle bronc wins


American Ryder Wright has taken management of Pool B with only one run remaining for the final group of saddle bronc riders.

The Milford, Utah, native shot to the highest on Thursday on the Calgary Stampede with back-to-back profitable rides. His second-run rating of 92.00 and third-run rating of 90.00 had been the very best of the week so removed from each swimming pools. 

Ryder leads with $14,500 in earnings, adopted by his older brother Rusty Wright in second with $9,000.  

Rusty has put down three persistently robust rides (86.50, 84.50, 87.50) to place himself in good standing to advance to the ultimate on Showdown Sunday.

American Ryder Wright’s rating of 90 within the saddle bronc was the highest mark on the afternoon, whereas his brother Rusty’s rating of 87.5 was adequate for a share of second place. 2:49

He tied for second on Thursday with Wade Sundell of Boxholm, Iowa, who at present sits in third place with $8,500. 

Prime-ranked rider Jacobs Crawley of Boerne, Texas dropped one spot to fourth after posting a disappointing rating of 79.00 to convey his complete earnings to $5,000.

Pool B wraps up Friday, with the top-four opponents punching their tickets on to Showdown Sunday. The remaining riders will compete on Wild Card Saturday for a second probability to advance.
