Toronto police are sending extra officers out to patrol the CN Tower and surrounding downtown space Thursday after receiving what the pressure calls an “unconfirmed, uncorroborated piece of knowledge.”

Police spokesman Mark Pugash despatched an e mail to CBC Information stating: “on account of this info, you will note an elevated variety of police officers all through the town and particularly within the downtown core.”

Pugash did not reveal any extra particulars about what police have discovered.

CBC Information reporters have already noticed a big police presence across the CN Tower and Rogers Centre space.

    Extra to come back
